Includes a review of cell structure and function, as well as the mechanisms by which the endocrine and nervous systems integrate cellular metabolism. Special emphasis on examining the cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, renal, reproductive, and muscular skeletal systems, as well as liver function, drug metabolism, and pharmacogenetics.
